What is irrigation? Describe the different ways of irrigation?
Irrigation-
The process of providing water to crops is called irrigation.
Following are the different methods of irrigation -
Traditional methods of irrigation such as ghirni, chainpump, dhekali, rahat, etc., carry water to the fields. Now diesel or electric mechanical pumps are used to draw water from most of the water sources. Now spraying system and drip system are used to prevent water wastage.
